Shammi Anand

Hi! I am Shammi Anand, 3rd Year Computer Science student at the Cochin University of Science and Technology.

Competitive Programmer & Developer

One of the most significant reasons for pursuing a degree in CS was to be able to solve problems. Early on in my first semester I got to know about Competitive Coding and how it helps build a problem-solving mindset to take on any projects at a later stage.

Currently I am focussing on Cryptography and Machine Learning, all the while honing my skills in Competitive-Coding. I practice CP at CodeForces, CodeChef and Hackerrank.

I believe in the age old philosophy of acquiring all the skill and tangible knowledge I can. Ever since my first semester, I have been hard set on learning various programming languages to decide which one actually suits me the best. And after going through: C, C++, Python, Java and javaScript, I have to the firm conclusion that when it comes to competitive programming I prefer C++ and Java, while when it comes to development I prefer Python & javaScript

C/C++ 100%
Python 100%
Machine Learning 50%
Java 100%
Data Structures & Algorithms 90%
Web Development 75%

Below are some of details regarding my education, work experience and projects!
